Direct Billing & Insurance in Brampton | Right Time Rehab
How you pay

Three ways a visit here gets paid for

Most patients use an extended health plan. The rest comes down to whether the visit relates to a collision or a workplace injury.

Direct billing

We bill many insurers directly through TELUS Health eClaims. Where your plan allows it, you pay only the portion your plan does not cover, at the desk, on the day. Bring your plan details to the first visit and the front desk will check what can be submitted.

Car accidents

Treatment after a collision is handled under Ontario's Statutory Accident Benefits. We complete the OCF forms and bill the insurer for you. Tell us it is a motor vehicle accident when you book, so the file starts correctly.

WSIB

Rehabilitation after a workplace injury, including return to work planning. Tell us it is a WSIB claim when you book and we will go through the process with you and write the reports the case needs.

Insurers

Insurers we direct bill

We submit the claim at the desk and you pay only what your plan does not cover. These are the plans we bill directly at both Brampton clinics.

Plan not on the list? Call the clinic before your visit. Most extended health plans can still be billed directly, and where they cannot we give you a receipt that your insurer will accept.

By service

What is usually covered, service by service

Plans vary, so treat this as the normal pattern rather than a guarantee. The front desk will check your own plan before you commit to a course of treatment.

PhysiotherapyCovered by most extended health plans. Commonly included in car accident and WSIB claims.
Registered massage therapyCovered by most extended health plans in Ontario, usually without a doctor's referral. Can be included in an approved accident or WSIB plan.
ChiropracticCovered by most extended health plans. Can form part of an approved accident or workplace injury plan.
AcupunctureOften covered, but plans differ on who has to deliver it. Some reimburse only a Registered Acupuncturist, others cover acupuncture given by a physiotherapist under the physiotherapy limit.
Custom orthoticsUsually covered under a separate orthotics benefit, often with its own annual maximum and sometimes a prescription requirement. We can give you the paperwork your insurer asks for.
Compression stockings and bracingCommonly covered under a medical supplies or bracing benefit, which is separate from your paramedical limit. Ask us and we will tell you what the claim normally needs.
Before you book

Four things worth asking your insurer

Five minutes on the phone to your insurer saves the awkward conversation at the desk later.

  • Your annual maximum for the service you are booking, and how much of it is left this year.
  • Whether your plan wants a doctor's referral on file before it will reimburse.
  • Whether the plan covers the specific designation treating you, which matters most for acupuncture.
  • Whether orthotics, bracing and compression stockings sit under a separate benefit from paramedical visits.
